We started playing together in 1983, when Jørgen H. joined the Rock'n'Roll-band HUEY, DEWEY & LOUIE.

When H, D & L broke up in 1992, it didn't take us long to realize that we couldn't live without playing, so we grabbed our acoustic guitars, went down into the basement, and started playing the old Bob Dylan songs we both knew. Soon we were playing again on a regular basis (expanding our repertoire to other artists as well as Dylan), and after a while we started playing gigs as a duo, which for reasons unknown was named "Heartburns".
